How I Hired 33+ Creator KOLs for Onekey (Case Study)

Problem:
• OneKey needed good quality KOLs (influencers) to help promote the brand, create awareness, and drive sales through affiliate partnerships.

My Task:
I was asked to find and reach out to KOLs on YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, and different crypto communities and event X space organizers.

• I was to contact them, talk about possible partnerships, handle negotiations, and close them for short or long-term work.

Action:
• I first wrote simple message templates to make outreach and negotiation faster since it’d be in bulk.(including the first message, offer, objection replies, closing, and follow-up messages).

• Over 13 months at OneKey, I sent cold DMs to thousands of YouTubers, X influencers, Instagram creators, and community leaders across many regions, and handled negotiations our offer .

Results:
• Closed 33+ KOL partnerships from different countries.

• Co-hosted 2 Twitter Spaces with top Nigerian and Kenyan creators, plus 5 extra KOL speakers, getting 1,100+ tune-ins in total, and 50%+ app downloads from attendees.

• Checked and approved all 33+ KOL posts and videos to make sure they met OneKey’s quality standard and went live on time.

• Gained over 2 million impressions from campaigns across the U.S., Germany, Switzerland, China, Korea, the Netherlands, and West Africa.

Average time from first message to deal close: 13 Monrths
